Atlanta area,Rent costs and are there alot of places with breed restriction on dogs?

Can anyone tell me if I could find a 2 bedroom home preferrably in the Atlanta area for around $700 or less a month in a decent area? Also one of my biggest problems is I own a 7 yr old rottweiler, there are so many breed restrictions I probably cant even consider an apartment if its anything like where I’m at now. How’s the job’s there look for maintenance type work? Thanks!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the others. First on the $700 a month for a 2 bedroom= you will NOT find a decent place in an area you would probably want to live in for that amount…it may be possible to get an efficiency on that amount, but you’d have to look really hard. Yes, lots of places do have some sort of pet restriction, but there are several complexes available that allow big dogs with a deposit. However, there are several townhouses all over metro Atl with yards and easier acceptance on pets….you’ll definitely have to pay a bit more in rent though.

Maintenance type is always available here even if the economy is bad.

  1. Texas is the only state that has a decent economy. Jobs are hard to come by right now in Atlanta. I can’t think of any apartment that doesn’t have breed restrictions. Your best bet is to rent a house with a fenced back yard. I see pitbull owners living in apartments all the time. You’ll have to live in a community that don’t care about enforcing their policies. Typically a ghetto area.

  2. Unfortunately you aren’t going to find a 2 bedroom home to rent for $700/month in the Atlanta area that is going to be in a decent area. You are going to have to look further out the the city, probably at least an 1 hour drive outside the city for what you are looking for. Yes, alot of places have restrictions on certain types of dogs like pitbulls, rottweiler’s and other dogs that are considered "dangerous". Unfortunately the job market is not good in the Atlanta area at the moment. The unemployment rate in Georgia is higher than the national average right now, so jobs are hard to come by even for the people who live here already looking for work.
