what are the pros and cons of living in atlanta?

details please?

Pros- The food is awesome, the people are friendly, the nightlife is great. Atlanta is an up and coming city, constantly building so the job market is okay, not the greatest right now because of the economy but it will get better. You get more for your money down there. You can buy a really nice house for $140,000 which up in the north where i currently reside would cost more. The cost of living is cheaper to a degree.

Cons- The damn traffic is horrible. Everytime i drive from Ohio to Georgia, i leave ohio around midnight so i can beat a lot of traffic but hit that Atlanta traffic. i got to atlanta at 7:30am and didnt get to my grandmother’s house in dekalb county until 8:55. That is just the next county over. There is always some type of construction, especially on I-75/ 85( the freeway that runs north/south)

Also another con is that valorem tax. It is a tax that they charge when you register your car and get your plates. They go by the county you live in and the type of car you drive. The closer to fulton county( atlanta) the higher the tax. Example, my grandmother lives in dekalb county, drove a lexus, her tax was $600 on top of what she paid for her registration.
